Liberty Store &
Raffle Table:
Items on the Raffle Table were provided as donations from Sherry
& Clyde Garland from their "garage sale" stash. Kris Overstreet also
donated one T-shirt and one bumper sticker. A few smaller items (about $19 worth)
were purchased specifically for the Raffle Table. Items at the Liberty Store were
donated or purchased by Sherry Garland specifically to sale at the store (largest
expense was Libertarian Party of Texas T-shirts).
Raffle table gross income
$59 (-$19 for cost of goods sold) = $40 net profit -- this paid for the wine
& ice for the hospitality room
Liberty Store $325 gross (-$240
cost of goods sold [most of this cost was T-shirts]) = $85 net profit -- this
paid for two cakes for reception ($36) and for most food & soft drinks for the
hospitality suite
Items stolen from the exhibit area: [apparently some people
thought that all items displayed on tables were up for grabs!]
1 bottle of Messina
Hof wine
2 Libertarian Party of Texas t-shirts from Liberty store
1 Brazos
County LP t-shirt from display area
1 MeMa's praline from display area
1 flag
from raffle table
misc. trinkets
Attendance Breakdown:

9 Workshops only [2 earlybird; 7 at door]
22 Lunch or
Banquet or Breakfast only (7 earlybird; 15 at door)

or workshops)
+ 4 non-paying guests (estimate -- these are the ones I know of
for sure; there may have been more)
116 -- Total # of people who are accounted
for (signed up at registration table)

[Does not include 11 speakers or any non-paying people]

2 Workshop Only ...........................7 Workshop only
4 Luncheon only ...........................17
Luncheon only
6 Banquet only ...............................7 Banquet only
.......................................................1 Meals only
.......................................................2
Breakfast only
* Six of this number paid late fee of $125.
Meal Event Attendance:
Clyde Garland tried to keep track of people at
each meal, but these may be off a little. The strange thing is that at the luncheon
there are ten more people in attendance than people who actually paid. It's a mystery
who they were or how they got past the door bouncers who checked every name tag.
Meal Events: Note: Hotel Contract requires you pay to for your estimated # of meals, unless more are served, then you pay actual #. Reception: [Reception was free for all -- no charge] Sat. breakfast: Sat. luncheon: Sat. banquet: Sun. breakfast: Note: Speakers received Full Package Deals; they are included in above #s even though they did not actually "pay." It may appear that we lost on meals, but in fact we made a profit on meal events because we charged more than the meals cost. Hotel Rooms Booked: Since this was well below the number we contracted for, the Hilton did not give us any discounts on facilities. Friday night -- 31 rooms booked Sat. night -- 36 rooms booked |
